Skin Boosters

Used to improve what we call “crepey skin” when the skin has lost some of it’s elasticity and starts to sag. This is the most common type of filler treatment in Italy!

LOOK FORWARD TO A LONG LASTING, HEALTHY GLOW THANKS TO DEEP HYDRATION.

Skinbooster treatments create luminous skin in a natural way by gently and naturally smoothening the skin from the inside. It works by increasing the hydration within the skin to provide lasting moisture and improve the skin’s surface.

HYDRATING MICROINJECTIONS
Each treatment involves a series of hydrating microinjections of long-lasting hyaluronic acid, also called stabilised HA, a water-loving substance found naturally in the body that maintains hydration in the skin. It is a softer form of the filler that we use in other areas.

Stabilised HA is a soft, gel-like substance that absorbs water and brings deep skin hydration to the treated areas, giving it improved firmness, elasticity and smoothness.

What you and everyone else will see is a wonderful and radiant skin.

Over time, the quality of your skin changes – collagen and elastic fibers disintegrate, and the spread and function of the body’s own hyaluronic acid change, making your skin drier, rougher and less elastic.

TREATMENT AREAS
Skinboosters treatments can be used to improve the general skin quality of your face but also to improve exposed and sensitive areas such as your neck, décolletage and hands as well as areas with acne-scarred skin.

TREATMENT PROGRAM
A typical treatment program with Skinboosters is made up of three treatment sessions with 2 to 4 weeks apart.

This costs £175 a session.

Lip Filler

We believe that Lucy and Sam create some of the most gorgeous shaped lips on the East coast. With plenty of experience, training and interest (not to mention some practice on their own lips!) they are able to get you a NATURAL but plumper, more defined lips.

If your lips have lost definition over the years, or never had the fullness you would like, lip fillers can enhance the shape and volume of your lips to give you more definition to your smile and more confidence in your appearance. You can choose the exact look you want, whether that’s a subtle change or much fuller lips. We’ll create a personalised treatment programme to ensure your lips stay plump and continue to look great.

Lip Fillers can be used to create a fuller lip, but also they are very effective in renewing a youthful look. The mouth area tends to pucker with age and filler treatment helps to plump it back out.

Over the past few years fuller lips have been a growing trend, with movie actress Angelina Jolie and reality TV star Kylie Jenner leading the way. The key is to enhance the natural lip, to create a fuller look that isn’t too far removed from the natural lip line.

As the skin ages proteins and connective tissue acids are lost. This causes the skin to sag and form lines, most commonly around the mouth and the lips. We use hydrating hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers to fill these lines creating a more youthful look. These are not permanent and HA is a naturally occurring substance in all of our skin.

This costs from £260 for up to a full millilitre of lip filler.

Fillers can also be injected into the cheeks to define the cheek area and lift the lower face, thus creating a more youthful look. As we age the movement of the facial fat pads, bone and the loss of elasticity of the skin and connective tissue causes an inversion of the youthful triangular face. Cheek fillers are used to fight against this.

Medical Microneedling

As the name suggests, microneedling does involve needles, but it’s not as scary as you may think…

Micro needling is a minimally invasive skin treatment used world wide to help improve the appearance of deep pores, acne and fine lines.

Micro needling involves creating micro injuries in the skin, the body’s natural response to this is to heal itself and stimulate collagen production and elastins leaving you with tighter, smoother and softer skin.

Micro-needles won’t feel the most comfortable but pain should be minimal. Patients typically leave like they have minor sun burn. However, there may be redness for a day or so after use, depending on your skin type or if you’re on sensitive side.

It may take a few sessions to see results, but after one treatment your skin should instantly appear brighter (once the post-redness irritation has resolved.

How much does microneedling cost?

A session of microneedling costs £95. If you book multiple sessions receive 10% off

Collagen and elastin are the ingredients in your skin that help to keep your skin looking healthy. Collagen is a protein in your skins dermis layer which keeps the skin strong. Elastin is also a protein which gives your skin the stretch and elasticity often associated with a young and fresh looking complexion. From the age of 25 our collagen and elastin production decreases, which can cause our skin to look dull and tired which then creates fine lines and wrinkles.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a very popular collagen induction treatment which involves the amazing natural healing process within your body. Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment used worldwide to help achieve a better complexion. Microneedling involves using microscopic needles in a pen device, creating microscopic channels into the skin. Your body’s response to this is to instantly kick in the natural healing process and encourages the regeneration of the skin which improves your skin quality.

What does microneedling feel like?

Microneedling won’t feel the most comfortable, but pain should be minimal and controlled with topical aesthetic cream where necessary. Patients often describe the treatment as a buzzing sensation on the skin followed by a temporary feeling of your face feeling warm and looking red – a cooling face mask will be applied for a while to settle this. Patients typically leave feeling like they have minor sun burn, this will take a day or two to subside depending on your skin sensitivity.

What results will I see?

Your body’s response to microneedling has incredible effects on the skin including:

– Improving overall skin texture,

– Tightening of the skin,

– Creating a more even skin tone,

– Reducing pore sizes,

– Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles,

– Reducing the appearance of scars, pigmentation and sun damage,

– Gives the skin a radiant glow leaving it appearing firmer and more youthful.

How many sessions of microneedling will I need?

Whilst some results will be noticeable after 1 mircroneedling treatment. Multiple sessions are recommended for optimum results. At your initial microneedling appointment I will discuss with you what improvements you would like to see and advise you on how many sessions I would recommend.

Microneedling aftercare.

Aftercare is paramount to allow for best result. During the skins healing process you need to keep your skin as clean as possible – it’s a good idea to wash bedding, pillowcases and towels prior to treatment. Redness of the skin will subside after a day or two, but during this time no make up or active ingredient skincare products should be used until the redness has completely settled – only wash your face with cool water. SPF is an important part of your everyday skincare routine but especially for 1 week post microneedling treatment – you must avoid direct sun light / sun beds. Avoid exercising/ sweating until redness has subsided – the bacteria produced by swearing could lead to a reaction or infection to the skin. As always keep hydrated, there’s nothing your skin loves more than water!

Wrinkle Reduction

“I learnt how to treat facial lines from a cosmetic surgeon. As a dentist, I already have comprehensive training in the muscles and nerves of the face and the clinical environment and regulation to provide safe facial aesthetics to people. I’ve done over 10 000 injections in my career, plus I use the smallest, thinnest needles on the market so it really won’t hurt!” – Greg Miller

Frown lines, forehead lines and crows feet can all be treated very effectively.

It is easy to do and not as painful as you’d imagine. The muscle action is decreased for the areas of the face treated. This creates a quieter face and stops the lines from forming. However it still allows facial expressions when done expertly.

It takes two weeks to take full effect although you might notice some changes within two days. Effects last three months, although with continued use it may last for as long as six months between treatments.

Treatment courses
One area = Crows feet, forehead lines or frown lines £160
Three areas = Crows feet, forehead lines AND frown lines £260
