Dentist

Katie came to us in April 2023 looking for a new challenge with a wealth of experience as an associate dentist having worked in Scarborough and Pickering for over 20 years. After qualifying from Guy’s Dental Hospital in 1992 her roles have included community dentistry, general dental practice and dental education as a Foundation Dental Trainer (2008-2013). Katie is also currently a Fitness to Practice Panellist for the General Dental Council. Katie enjoys all aspects of restorative dentistry and working with nervous patients to help them overcome their fear of dental treatment.
When not at work, Katie enjoys exploring the countryside in her Campervan Herbie, and skiing with her family.

Dentist

Christos brings a touch of Mediterranean warmth to his practice, having graduated from Thessaloniki, Greece.

While proficient in all areas of general dentistry, he has developed advanced skills in Oral Surgery, welcoming referrals from local dentists for complex extractions (including wisdom teeth), TMJ disorders, bruxism/clenching, and snoring treatment.

Christos is committed to modern dentistry, utilizing the latest digital workflows, materials, and techniques. He understands that dental visits can be stressful, so he strives to create a calm, non-judgmental environment, with relaxing music, prioritising patient comfort.

Outside the clinic, Christos enjoys creative pursuits, including podcasting and voice-over work. He also loves watching films and cheering on basketball games.

While he once dabbled in comedy, he now keeps his jokes (mostly) to himself.

Suzanne initially joined us at The Dental Studio to cover maternity leave, but we
decided to keep her. Suzanne qualified at Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1977 and
prior to moving to Bridlington in 2021 Suzanne has enjoyed a full and varied career;
She has extensive experience within the private sector and has worked with
Specialists in Implantology, Periodontology and Prosthodontics. She is constantly
continuing her professional development and takes pride in helping her patients
reach optimum oral health through education and encouragement.
Suzanne has also been part of a dental team involved in Extreme Makeover UK,
held positions with the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy as Treasurer
and Council Representative for her regional group and a member of the Executive
Team and a Director of the BSDHT.

Dental Nurse

Lee is a highly experienced Dental Nurse who joined the team in 2019 after many years working in the community dental service, where she worked a variety of dentists and patients. In her nursing career Lee’s varied roles have seen work with medically compromised and extremely anxious patients, including those requiring sedation, she also worked with the mobile dental unit delivering dental care to pupils in SEN schools. Lee has also worked on oral cancer screening clinics and Epidemiology surveys. All this experience makes her a versatile and valuable member of the team.

Louise joined us in early 2021 and now splits her time assisting in surgery and liaising with dental implant patients, helping their treatment journey to run smoothly and promoting implants on our socials. Louise is very kind and demonstrates a lovely caring attitude towards the patients.

Lauren joined in 2021 and now splits her time between assisting in surgery and liaising with patients regarding their aligner treatments, she loves seeing them fulfil their dreams of a fantastic smile. Lauren is also our social media queen and is always trying to ‘encourage’ her colleagues to appear in her posts.

Teegan joined us at the beginning of 2023 and has become a valued member of the team, she is a hard worker and has great clinical abilities. Teegan loves assisting with the aligner treatments and is developing a great interest in the decontamination side of dentistry. She is always willing to learn new things and not afraid to try any task.

Ell joined us as a newly qualified dental nurse in late 2024 and has quickly become a valued member within the team. Ell enjoys all aspects of the role and is keen to learn more. Ell has a friendly manner with patients and staff alike and can often be heard singing around the practice, she is generally a little ray of sunshine.
